Patches (2008)
Patches is a trio album. The record features 11 new Hickory Strings compositions with Geoff Brown on mandolin and guitar, Mark Whitaker on banjo, and bassist Gian Pangaro. The album was recorded live with no overdubs and very few edits, resulting in an exciting new sound for the group.

Geoff Brown and Hickory Strings (2006)
Geoff Brown and Hickory Stringsis the product of a year-long collaboration with bassist/banjoist Mark Whitaker. The record features original compostions for mandolin, upright bass, banjo, and guitar and arrangements of traditional celtic tunes. Difficult to classify, the music could be grouped with modern “newgrass” music, combining elements of celtic, bluegrass, funk, classical, and jazz music.
